Inverse Trigonometric Function: arccot
This LG covers the topic of inverse trigonometric, arccotangent function. It is an LG with a high number of tasks for two main reasons: (1) The cotangent function is not part of the secondary school mathematics program, so students in higher education learn the cotangent function and then its inverse function, so students have a greater difficulty, compared to other inverse trigonometric functions. (2) This is the last inverse trigonometric function studied, so this LG is intended to function a bit as a review of the topics covered, in the context of inverse trigonometric functions.

Fractions_2
This Learning Graph contains tasks for fractions and its aims are the students:
to familiarize with the concept of fractions,
to be able to recognize the parts of a fraction,
learn to compare them,
and correctly place them on the number line.

Julio Le Parc Serie 48 1970
In this series, the Argentinian Op'Art artist Julio Le Parc, uses his famous 14 color palette to let mathematics mix them in a fixed but rather random looking way. Let's investigate what is happening there!

The Chat
In the Digital Classroom, students and teachers can interact with each other via chat (speech bubble icon, see picture, left). Text and voice messages as well as pictures can be sent.
Please send us a photo of your notes on the previous task or a text or audio message!
Note: Sending messages via chat is only possible if you are working in the Digital Classroom and have an active internet connection.

Example support task
A support task usually contains a simplified version of the problem presented as main task. It aims to give the student the needed guidance and advise in order to complete the related main task.
In this case, our advise is to have a look in "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy" of Douglas Adams. In it, the author claims that 42 is the answer to the "Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything”. Please return to the main task, enter 42 in its answer field and proceed.
And one more important information: to the right of the task title you can find the readaloud button. When you press it, the app reads out the task formulation. Please try it out!

Rewarding, attempts, and support tasks
For a correct answer, the user is rewarded points. More than one wrong answer reduces the initially 100 points an exercise contributes. For every exercise, the user can try four times to enter the solution.
So what is the solution here? Please try to find out. Maybe the hints will help...

Inverse matrix
Given a matrix $A$ and its inverse matrix $B$. Choose the correct statements.
We define $I$ as the identity matrix and $A^{T}$ as the transpose of $A$. Further, $k\neq0$ is a scalar and $det(A)$ represents the determinant of A.

Simplify the power
Who has the right answer?
Exercise: Simplify the following power.
1) $ (1234)^{1000}\\ $
Lisa: The answer is $\frac1{(1234)^{1000}}$
Ali: No the answer is 1,234.

Determination of an easy negative power
Write the exact answer to this exercise.
If you need to write the power then use this form a^b. For fractions use this form a/b.
Use this rule to get to the solution:
$ a^{b\;}=\frac1{a^b}\\ $
1) $ 5^{2} $
2) $ 7^{3} $
