The Intensive Study Programme
An eleven-day Intensive Study Programme (ISP) took place in Frankfurt, Germany, from September 2 to 12, 2022.
Here, 20 student teachers from Germany, Greece, Italy and Portugal took part in the programme and gained a deep insight into the ASYMPTOTE system.

From 2nd to 12th September 2022, a eleven-day Intensive Study Programme for students from five European universities will take place in Frankfurt, Germany. During this event, students will learn about the principles of e-learning and the ASYMPTOTE system. They will also explore Frankfurt and get in touch with other young people from Germany, Greece, Italy and Portugal.
We invite all interested students to apply for the programme. The event is organized by the Erasmus+ Project ASYMPTOTE and co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Through this, the ASYMPTOTE project can cover the participants‘ costs for the accommodation and meals. Also, the participants‘ travelling to Frankfurt is financially supported.

Our Offer:

Payment and Funding:
- The ASYMPTOTE project offers all chosen participants a full funding of the costs for the accomodation, and meals
- A financial support of your travelling expenses, which can be requested in the application form

- Please introduce yourself shortly
- Present how you experienced online learning during the university closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic
- Explain how you would use digital tools in your math class
Requirements for Participation:
- You are an student teacher in mathematics education at Goethe University Frankfurt, the University of Bielefeld, the University of the Aegean, a student for mathematics at the University of Catania, or a student for engineering at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto
- You have good English language skills

- Arrival
Saturday, September 3 – Sunday, September 11:
- Lectures and workshops by international experts on teaching with technology, online education, task formats, mobile learning, etc.
- Getting to know the ASYMPTOTE system as one example for an free online platform in mathematics education
- Developing of digital tasks in international student groups
- School visit for experiencing how students work with the tasks created

The Intensive Study Programme will take place in Frankfurt in Germany (Hesse). The city is known for its international flair, its banking district and its skyline. During the programme, we will explore Frankfurt and do mathematics in international student teams.
The teacher training takes place at the University of Frankfurt. The travel, stay and meals will be paid by the ASYMPTOTE project. All students from Bielefeld, Catania, Porto and Rhodes will stay in the youth hostel Jugendherberge Frankfurt, which is directly located in the city center.
Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) is served by all major international airports. The train stations Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and Frankfurt Süd are also well connected to the national and international rail network.
From the airport you can take the S-Bahn lines S8 or S9 (every 15 minutes) to Frankfurt Hauptwache. From there, it is a 20 minute walk to the youth hostel.
